SPA is pleased to release this year’s Annual Report offering an in-depth look at sponsored funding activity for the past year.
In Fiscal Year 2023, NIU faculty and staff secured 418 awards totaling $61 million, including COVID-19 relief funding.
Without COVID-19 funding, total funding this year was $57 million. This is an outstanding increase of 34% over last year and a 60% increase since FY 2019.
These programs advance the academic and research mission of the university, provide opportunities for our students to work alongside faculty in the lab, field, and classroom, all while preparing our society for a century of change.
