The Illinois minimum wage will increase on January 1, 2024. Principal Investigators will want to keep these new rates in mind when planning and managing sponsored awards.
Investigators with active awards supporting hourly employees will need to cover the increase from their grant budget or work with their departments to identify another non-sponsored fund source.
